"The future already holds God's solutions for my present problems. My job is to recognize those solutions, knowing my issues may be solved by God differently than I expect." These words were spoken by a friend preparing to leave family, friends and job to serve in Afghanistan as an emergency medicine physician.
My friend realized exactly what the prophet Isaiah said about God and the future.
I make known the end from the beginning from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. (Isaiah 46:10 NIV)
Can I trust that God has already attended to my present and future issues according to His Will in His Way? Can I even believe that those solutions are for my good and His Glory? That is what faith is all about!
