The weather forecast calls for. . .

Whatever the weatherman says causes me to jump into action:
Rain. . . an umbrella
Snow. . . a shovel and salt
Sun. . . lotion and a hat
Allowing the weather report to have such authority in my life reveals my tendency to trust the weatherman. But is he always right? No.

Since God is truth and always right, why is my heart's response to Him not as vigorous as my blind obedience to the weatherman? Blind obedience to the weatherman does NOT always work well. However, blind obedience to God DOES.

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. (Hebrews 11:8 NIV)

Who will have the greater authority in my life this week— the weatherman or God? Will you join me, this week, in faith-led obedience to God.

Sharing the journey with you,
