In the early 20th century, the Good Housekeeping Magazine initiated the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. This seal of approval protected against misrepresentation by food suppliers. This endorsement affirmed that a product was good. I, too, enjoy receiving a "seal of approval" from those in authority. It brings acknowledgement, favor and recognition.

For on him [Jesus] God the Father has placed his seal of approval.
(John 6:27 NIV)

I long to have God's seal of approval on me as well. But how is that possible? It is easy to think that the good things I do merit God's favor. But Jesus reminds me that…

The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. (John 6:29 NIV)

Join me this week in securing God's seal of approval…believe in Jesus and trust Him.

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
