Intentional prevention always beats the labor of problem solving. The time, energy and resources needed to solve a problem is usually significantly more than the investment in prevention. In healthcare, much is spent on diseases and illnesses that could have been prevented with simple monitoring, vaccinations and regular annual checkups.

What about spiritual preventive care? King David was very familiar with the difficulty of “problem solving” resulting from his sin. He realized that preventing sin was a much better choice. His advice to me is to invest in sin prevention. He even tells me how.

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:1

This week will you join me in investing in sin prevention?
