Participating in medical research is gratifying — working diligently to reveal the mysteries of medicine so that health and healing are possible for those in need. Yet so much is left to know and understand.
So much of following Jesus is a similar mystery. Knowing and understanding God is a lifelong process. But God’s desire is to reveal more and more of Him to me.
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all of the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29 NIV)
Sometimes I lose my way fretting over the unrevealed secrets of God. But God has disclosed to me more than I need, so that I can “follow all the words” He commands.
