I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1 ESV

A recent visit with my Hungarian mentor, Barátossy Jenő brought new meaning to this verse. Jenő is 93 years old and confined to his apartment in Budapest. When I asked him what he does during his day, his response startled me. Jenő answered, "There are not enough hours in a day to express my gratitude and praise for God's goodness to me."

What a joyous response, and what convicting words to me who, at times, takes for granted the amazing goodness of God. Jenő encourages me to turn my mind and heart toward the reality of God's goodness, giving credit where credit is due.

When we followers of Jesus turn our hearts to praise and thanksgiving, hope and joy show up. Will you join me this week?

Sharing the journey with you,
