What book do I turn to for answers to the difficult questions in my life? A friend of mine believes that everyone's life reflects the beliefs expressed in a book. Increasingly people I know are turning inside themselves for those answers — an "autobiography". Their answers come from personal experience, situations and desires.

What I have come to believe is that I cannot always trust myself for truth. Sometimes what I think is right in my own eyes can be filled with personal rationalization.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. (Proverbs 14:12 NIV)

This is the essence of moral relativism that can woo me away from God — dangerous stuff.

When seeking solutions to difficult life questions, I need to mine the rich depth of godly wisdom from Jesus and His Word rather than the shallowness of my own thoughts. Will you join me?

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
