Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed! Psalm 85:10 NLT
I used to think life was a balance between love and truth. However, a lifetime of experience tells me otherwise. As Jesus walked on earth, He embodied the integration of love and truth revealing the difference between “balance” and “integration”. Integration is bringing together all of love and all of truth. Balance, however, is met whenever equal amounts of truth and love are present.
Truth not linked with the love of Christ can be harsh and hurtful. Whereas love not meshed with truth can be weak and impotent. Only unfailing love and truth married together will do.
I need the work of the Spirit of God in me to live out this integrated life. Would you join me this week in allowing God do the work of love and truth in us?
