An acquaintance spoke with transparency of his journey to Jesus. He went from an obedient, academically, and athletically successful boy to a young man in college driven by status, greed, self-satisfaction and a search for happiness.

His life led to material success, drugs, and unrestrained sexual immorality. He worked very hard at hiding who he really was. Yet his story ended with a description of the freedom, joy and assurance, that only the sacrifice Jesus made for his life, could bring. He was now redeemed

He no longer needed to hide. Remember when Adam and Eve, having just sinned, tried to hide from God?

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Genesis 3:8 NIV

As a follower of Jesus, I need to stop trying to hide things from God. Then and only then can I avail myself to the cleansing blood of Christ and be free.

Will you join me in talking to God about what He already knows.

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
