I love the words to the hymn “Fill My Cup, Lord”.
Like the woman at the well, I was seeking
For things that could not satisfy.
And then I heard my Savior speaking,
“Draw from My well that never shall run dry.”

Fill my cup, Lord;
I lift it up, Lord;
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul.
Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more.
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.

But why should I seek to fill my cup with Jesus?

My heart half-filled is so conscious of its lack…so I, like the woman at the well, seek to fill it with things that do not satisfy. It is only a Jesus-filled heart that produces the overflow that He desires for me.

Jesus came to take my half-filled, polluted cup of water that is my life and fill it full of Him through the power of His Spirit.

I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!  John 15:11 NLT

Join me in joyful overflow this week.

Sharing the journey with you,
