Spending time with my grandson is a great delight in my life. It has caused me to think about the word delight. Interestingly the Bible speaks often about delight.

King David's talks about the object of his delight.

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 NIV)

So I asked myself, "What are the activities that bring delight to me and to God?"

Meditating on His word (Psalm 1:2)
Telling the truth — honesty of heart (Proverbs 12:22)
Obeying His commands (I Samuel 15:22)
Praying — conversing with God (Proverbs 15:8)

Consider with me, this week, the joy of delighting in God as He delights in us.

God says,

As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight. (Psalm 16:3 NIV)
