I have just finished a wonderful week filled with specific answers to prayer. Praise God. I am filled with gratitude. Even so I find myself awake at 3 am borrowing future worries for present consumption. How can this be? God has proven Himself faithful and yet again I find my faith wavering.

Jesus knows my heart; so it doesn't surprise Him that I worry. That's why He said in Matthew 5:25-34 that He already has His attention on the minutest details of my life and He has them covered. As He ends His gentle admonishment to me, Jesus says,

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34 NIV)

Jesus is already in my future and I will choose not to worry because He told me so. Will you join me in living in today and leaving the future in the hands of God?

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
