At times I find myself putting my faith in assumptions or doctrines about Jesus rather than in Jesus, Himself. When I place my faith and trust in Jesus I have a confidence that allows me to live a life bearing witness to His goodness and grace in my life.
This writer of the Hebrews says it so well.
And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's house… Hebrews 10:19-21 NLT
Since we have this High Priest, Jesus, we can:
- Boldly enter into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. Therefore we can hold tightly, without wavering, to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promises.
- Live in the new and life-giving way. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. Let us not neglect our meeting together.
