I sometimes read Reader’s Digest — true stories about real people delivering a more powerful punch than fiction. In fact, movies and books often carry the tagline, based on a true story. We often say that truth is stranger than fiction.

I remember reading the book The Heavenly Man — the story of Chinese pastor Yun whose life and experiences can only be described as unbelievable except that they are true. In fact, when I had the opportunity to hear Pastor Yun in person I went as much to see if he was real as to hear his story.

Some would say the Bible must be fiction — the accounts too amazing to be true. Yet no fiction writer could make up this story. In fact what credible fiction author would put three women named Mary at the foot of the cross?

The Bible is God’s story — beginning in eternity past and extending to eternity future. It is made even more incredible by the fact that I am a part of it. The story is still being written. What will the account of my life reveal about my relationship to the Author? What an amazing joy and privilege. What part will I play in His story? What part will you play?
I am the Alpha and Omega, says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. (Revelation 1:8 NIV)

Sharing the journey with you,
