Alone with God. Sunday worship is vital to my faith and small groups help me to find integration of my faith into community. But it is alone with God where the nooks and crannies of my character are revealed – exposing my pride, my anxieties, my needs, my sin.
Alone with God, I grow intimate with Him. My love for God and my deepening desire to understand and fulfill the desires of His heart grow best alone with Him.
When my love for God is strong because of my time alone with Him, I come into community giving and serving with humility. When my time alone with God is weak or non-existent, I come to community taking away.
Time alone with God – sweet reunion. Who best to learn from than the One who created me in His image?
